St. James fell to Martin County West 26-32 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. St. James put the hurt on Martin County West with a sharp 42-8 win. St. James were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast. The contest pushed Martin County West down to 0-2 and pulled St. James up to the reverse at 2-0.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. St. James will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Pipestone. Martin County West will stay at home against Windom at 7:00 PM.
