This season hasn't been kind to the Shade Panthers, who are still winless after their 15th game. They took a 38-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Meyersdale. Shade has not had much luck with Meyersdale recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Leading Meyersdale to victory were Laurel Daniels and Sarah Hainsworth. Daniels dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Hainsworth scored 14 points along with five steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hainsworth has scored all season. Morgan Walters was another key contributor, scoring two points along with three steals.
Shade dropped their record down to 0-15 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Meyersdale, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shade will take on Turkeyfoot Valley Area at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Turkeyfoot Valley Area focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Thursday. As for Meyersdale, they will be playing at home against Blacklick Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Blacklick Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 374 points over their last six contests.
