The Sotomayor Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 49-17 loss at the hands of Maywood CES. Sotomayor was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-6.
Hailey Deniz was Sotomayor's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Sotomayor now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Maywood CES, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sotomayor will take on Elizabeth at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Elizabeth is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Maywood CES, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marquez at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marquez is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
