In what's become a running theme this season, the Salinas Cowboys gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 63-37 margin over Pacific Grove. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Salinas has posted since November 21, 2023.
Among those leading the charge was Payton Edwards, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Alice Uchida, who scored ten points.
Salinas' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Pacific Grove, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Salinas will head out on the road to take on North Salinas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pacific Grove, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Monterey at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th.
