Karns City is 1-7 against the Wolves since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Karns City Gremlins will look to defend their home court against the North Clarion Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Aquinas Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Karns City proved too difficult a challenge. They snuck past the Crusaders with a 42-37 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given Karns City's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Crusaders are ranked 79th).
Meanwhile, North Clarion can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 57-25 victory over Otto-Eldred.
Karns City's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5. As for North Clarion, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
Karns City came up short against the Wolves when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 49-45. Can Karns City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
