Springdale Prep's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maddie Poole, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Poole is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Anya Neufeld, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Springdale Prep is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season. As for Sandy Spring Friends, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Springdale Prep won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against St. Mary's Ryken at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. St. Mary's Ryken presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Springdale Prep in Maryland (St. Mary's Ryken is ranked 28th, while Springdale Prep is ranked 123rd). Sandy Spring Friends will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Model Secondary School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
