Riverview is 0-5 against Steinbrenner since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Riverview Sharks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Steinbrenner Warriors at 7:30 p.m.
Last Friday, Riverview lost to Durant at home by a decisive 36-22 margin. It was the first time this season that Riverview let down their fans at home.
The losing side was boosted by Dontarious "Rico" Shoats, who rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after only six points in their last contest, Steinbrenner made sure to put some points up on the board against Sickles on Friday. Steinbrenner took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 42-14 victory over Sickles.
Ty Robinson was a one-man wrecking crew for Steinbrenner as he threw for 287 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Brady Messenger, who picked up 125 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Durant's victory bumped their season record to 8-2 while Riverview's loss dropped theirs to 7-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's contest: Riverview has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 194.9 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Steinbrenner, though, as they've been averaging only 71.8 per game. How will Steinbrenner fare against such a dominant running game?
Riverview was taken down by Steinbrenner 49-6 in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Will Riverview have more luck at home instead of on the road?
