Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clovis East). They managed a 47-43 win over the Kerman Lions on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Timberwolves' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1036th, while the Lions are ranked 477th).

Clovis East's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Kerman, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Coincidentally, Clovis East and Kerman will both be playing Mendota the next time they take the court. The Lions will head out to face the Aztecs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Timberwolves will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on the 19th.
