The Constitution Generals and the Sayre Sabres squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Constitution Generals had to settle for second. They took a 62-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sabres. Constitution was down 56-36 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Sayre's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mischa Ferguson-Bell, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ferguson-Bell has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brionn Veal-Coston, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds.
Constitution's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Sayre, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Constitution does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sayre's road trip will continue as they head out to face Audenried at 3:15 p.m. on February 13th. Audenried will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Sayre surely won't give up without a fight.
