It was a good run, but the Calaveras Red Hawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Amador by a score of 41-39. If Calaveras was looking for revenge after losing 42-26 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Defeat or not, Calaveras got some senior leadership from Ginger Scheidt and Izzy Tapia. Scheidt scored nine points along with five steals, while Tapia. scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Calaveras' defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6. As for Amador, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 18-7 record this season.
Calaveras will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Argonaut is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Amador, they will head out on the road to take on the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Summerville: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while the Buffaloes have snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
