Make it ten blowout wins for the Foothill Cougars this season. They put the hurt on Shasta with a sharp 54-31 win on Thursday. The win was just what Foothill needed coming off of a 68-43 defeat in their prior game.
Foothill's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lexi Peters, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. When it comes to explaining why Shasta lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cali Soule. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Soule has scored all season.
Even though they lost, Shasta smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foothill only pulled down 11 offensive rebounds.
