The Franklin County Seahawks will head out to challenge the Aucilla Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklin County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddox Shaw, who rushed for 81 yards and one TD on only 11 carries. Sadiq Jones also helped with two touchdowns in total.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Franklin County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 202 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 202 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, while Aucilla Christian put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Graceville. The Warriors simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 49-0. That 49 point margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.
Aucilla Christian's win came from a few key players Franklin County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Landon La Rosa, who threw for 114 yards and one TD while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground.
Aucilla Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. It was a group effort, with five picking up one apiece. Bryson Mills got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
The win (which was Aucilla Christian's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.5 points on average over those games. As for Franklin County, their record is now 6-2.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Franklin County has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 178 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Aucilla Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 179.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Franklin County lost to Aucilla Christian on the road by a decisive 28-12 margin when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Seahawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
