Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Yellow Medicine East should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on Wabasso at 7:00 PM. With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win.
Yellow Medicine East had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 8-30 punch to the gut against Tracy-Milroy-Balaton last week.
Meanwhile, Wabasso took care of business in their home opener. They were able to grind out a solid victory over Lac qui Parle Valley, winning 28-21.
Wabasso's win lifted them to 1-0 while Yellow Medicine East's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Wabasso's success rolls on or if Yellow Medicine East are able to steal their positive momentum.
