The Wasco Tigers had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Del Oro on the road to the tune of 48-14. Wasco's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Wasco's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cassandra Evangelista, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Jaelyn Juarez, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Wasco's victory bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Del Oro, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
Wasco's road trip will continue as they head out to face Delano at 10:00 a.m. on December 28th. Del Oro will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Arvin at 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
