After a string of six wins, the Red Cloud Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 44-30 to Superior. Red Cloud has not had much luck with Superior recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

That's the first time this season that Cornell posted two or more blocks. Faith Butler was another key contributor, scoring no points along with six assists and four steals.
Red Cloud's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Superior, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Red Cloud won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Blue Hill at 2:00 p.m. on January 20th. Blue Hill is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Superior, they will be playing at home against Deshler at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Deshler is ranked 106th, while Superior is ranked 86th).
