The Scotts Valley Falcons are taking a road trip to square off against the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Monte Vista Christian took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Scotts Valley, who comes in off a win.
Scotts Valley had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Aptos on Friday. Scotts Valley blew past Aptos 9-2. The win was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won three games in a row.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaleb Wing, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Kit Deforest also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Monte Vista Christian suffered their closest loss since March 12, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Ann Sobrato by a score of 8-6. The loss was the Mustangs' first of the season.
Carter Wright was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Mikie Melenudo was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
