They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 52-9 victory over Western Sierra Collegiate Academy. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-6.
Victoria Fowler was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. She is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last six games she's played. Mikayla Meza was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Meanwhile, the matchup between Elk Grove and Cosumnes Oaks on Friday hardly resembled the 38-7 effort from their previous meeting. Elk Grove was beaten by Cosumnes Oaks 77-31. Elk Grove has struggled against Cosumnes Oaks recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Sacramento Adventist's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Elk Grove, they bumped their record down to 3-12 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Sacramento Adventist against Elk Grove when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 45-17 victory. Will Sacramento Adventist repeat their success, or does Elk Grove have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
