St. James will challenge Martin County West on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. St. James is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.
St. James took care of business in their home opener. They secured a 20-16 W over Norwood-Young America.
Meanwhile, Martin County West had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 6-33 walloping at Le Sueur-Henderson's hands. Martin County West were down by 0-33 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
St. James's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Martin County West's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if St. James' success rolls on or if Martin County West are able to steal their positive momentum.
