Hoover extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping them up to 9-16-1. Everything went their way against the Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals as they made off with a 12-6 win. Hoover's victory was all the more impressive since the Cardinals were averaging only 4.05 runs allowed on the season.

Kieran Sinta made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Hoover is 5-1 when Sinta posts two or more runs, but 4-15-1 otherwise.
In other batting news, Hoover let Isaiah Magana and Alex Weimar run wild. Magana went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Weimar got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Weimar continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played.
Hoover was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
As for Santa Clarita Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 12-7 record. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this game were averaging 4.05 runs allowed.
On Santa Clarita Christian's side, Jacob Trosper led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Trosper is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Zane Stauffer was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Looking ahead, Hoover will face off against Polytechnic at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Santa Clarita Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
