The Riverside Rangers will challenge the Clint Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Riverside comes in on three and Clint on four.
Riverside is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Ysleta for the full four quarters, racking up an 82-9 win. With that victory, the Rangers brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.

Riverside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jocelyn Castro, who went 6 of 13 en route to 15 points along with eight steals and six boards. The dominant performance gave Castro a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Yazmin Rios, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 17 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Riverside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 32 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in ten consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Clint posted their closest victory since November 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged San Elizario out 25-22. The 25-point effort marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Riverside better keep an eye on Anabella Portillo. She was instrumental in Clint's win, going 5 of 12 on her way to 10 points and eight rebounds. Portillo has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played.
Riverside's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-8. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.0 points per game. As for Clint, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Riverside has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Clint struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Riverside against Clint when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 78-41 victory. In that contest, Riverside amassed a halftime lead of 40-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
