Baseball Recap: John Milledge Academy Snags Ninth Win in Last 12 Games

John Milledge Academy got themselves on the board against Brentwood on Monday, but Brentwood never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the War Eagles. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Will Adams and Bradyn Harrisson did most of the damage at the plate: Adams went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, while Harrisson scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Harrisson has posted since back in February.

John Milledge Academy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Brentwood, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Milledge Academy will take on Tattnall Square Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (John Milledge Academy 3.1, Tattnall Square Academy 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Brentwood, they will challenge Central Fellowship Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The War Eagles are facing the Lancers at the right time seeing as the Lancers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
