It was another big night for Erin States, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Kearney, who scored ten points.
When it comes to explaining why Pottsgrove lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jessica Carroll. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Carroll has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Aleah Rockemore, who scored seven points.
Upper Perkiomen's win bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Pottsgrove, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Upper Perkiomen will be playing at home against Phoenixville at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Phoenixville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Upper Perkiomen in Pennsylvania (Phoenixville is ranked 226th, while Upper Perkiomen is ranked 558th). As for Pottsgrove, they will head out on the road to challenge Perkiomen Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Perkiomen Valley will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
