Berwick's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gabby Starr led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was RaeAnna Andreas, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Central Columbia had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 34-21 victory over Warrior Run. Given Central Columbia's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Warrior Run is ranked 184th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The victory makes it two in a row for Berwick and bumps their season record up to 2-4. As for Central Columbia, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.
