Littlerock is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Wednesday. They will welcome the Eastside Lions at 3:15 p.m.
Littlerock took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Hesperia Christian 8-1. Considering the Lobos have won three matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Saul Orozco Jr. made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Littlerock is undefeated when Orozco Jr. allowsone or fewer earned runs, but 0-5 otherwise. Orozco Jr. was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.
In other batting news, Sebastian Gon?alez was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Adan Herrera, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, while Eastside scored more runs than they have all season, the final result was a bit underwhelming. Neither they nor Desert Christian could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for an 8-8 tie. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Littlerock's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. Eastside's tie gives them a new season record of 1-6-1.
Eastside's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Littlerock hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .376. It's a different story for Eastside, though, as they've only averaged .175. Will they be able to contain Littlerock's hitters?
Everything went Littlerock's way against Eastside in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Littlerock made off with a 12-1 win. Does Littlerock have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eastside turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
