Softball Recap: Cook's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Cook had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Tift County Blue Devils by a score of 5-2. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against the Blue Devils two weeks ago, they had to take a 4-3 defeat.

Cook's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Tift County, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 7-2 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cook will square off against Tattnall County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tift County, they will venture away from home to challenge Houston County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Devils 2, the Bears 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
