King/Drew proved they can win big  last Friday (they won by 45) and  on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They pulled ahead with  a  17-16 photo finish over the Dorsey Dons. The  victory was familiar territory for the Golden Eagles, who have now won six  contests in a row.
The critical scores for King/Drew came from  Giovanni Gaut and  Samuel Richard.
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to King/Drew's defense and their five sacks. Dorsey's QB  won't forget  Kenneth Webb anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Webb is  on a roll when it comes to  sacks, as he's  now  posted  at least one in each of the last six games he's  played.
King/Drew's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Dorsey, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. King/Drew is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Crenshaw  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  points on average (the Golden Eagles 9.6, the Cougars 11.2) so any  points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Dorsey will  take on  rival George Washington Prep  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
