Basketball Game Preview: Coleville Wolves vs. Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage Rams

Coleville has gone 10-0 against Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Coleville Wolves are taking a road trip to take on the Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage Rams at 5:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Last Saturday, Coleville lost to Sage Ridge at home by a 38-24 margin.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kenna Lange, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards. She has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Couture, who posted five points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Coleville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Pyramid Lake and fell 75-21. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Lakers are ranked 14th).

Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Coleville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Everything went Coleville's way against Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Coleville made off with a 58-33 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coleville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
