Foothill has gone a perfect 3-0 against Del Oro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Foothill has six straight wins, Del Oro has ten straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Foothill and West have met, but the home crowd finally got their W last Thursday. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Vikings. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won eight matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Victor Diaz made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs.
In other batting news, Marcos Carbajal was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Ramon Diaz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Foothill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Del Oro lost 20-3 to Arvin last Thursday.
Foothill's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Del Oro, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
Foothill took their victory against Del Oro in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 19-0 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Suns have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
