The Highland Tech Rams lost against the Burns Bulldogs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Highland Tech fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 38-35.
Highland Tech's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addie McCraw, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds. McCraw is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 16 or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Akela Taylor, who scored eight points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Burns to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maggie Earl, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. Earl hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 12 straight games. Taviana Woods was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Highland Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Burns, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland Tech will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Ironmen at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Burns, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Master's Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 180 points over their last three contests.
