Midtown has gone 8-1 against Mays recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Knights will head out to take on the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Midtown will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Midtown came out on top against Creekside on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fifth inning. The Knights blew past the Seminoles 12-5. Considering the Knights have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Dylan Smith looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kingston Glover and Lyndon Williams, III did most of the damage at the plate: Glover went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Williams, III went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Glover has become a key player for Midtown: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7 otherwise. John Brennan also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, Mays earned a 10-5 win over Drew on Monday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with Drew recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Amarion Robinson was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Montavious Fowler, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Midtown's record is now 9-7. As for Mays, their record now sits at 7-9-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Midtown has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mays struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Midtown's way against Mays in their previous matchup on March 11th, as Midtown made off with a 19-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
