The Sanger Apaches will be playing at home against the Buchanan Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sanger will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Last Wednesday, Sanger's game was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bullard and snuck past 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for Sanger as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Andrea Alvarenga and
Royce Kilby, who scored both of Sanger's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 27 so far this season.
Meanwhile, Buchanan didn't have quite enough to beat Clovis East on Thursday and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Buchanan has lost by exactly one goal.
Sanger is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3-2 record this season. As for Buchanan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6-4.
Sanger came up short against Buchanan when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 4-2. Will Sanger have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other soccer content.
