Baseball Recap: Delta Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

While Delta put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Esparto. The Saints were the clear victors by a 19-0 margin over the Spartans. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Wyatt Griffiths was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Parkinson, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Delta hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Esparto struck out seven times.

Delta is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.6 runs over those games. As for Esparto, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
