Nevada Union extended their losing streak to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 5-12. They lost 10-4 to the Twelve Bridges Rhinos. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Rhinos this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-1 loss on Thursday.
Brock McBride made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Jayce Gross was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
As for Twelve Bridges, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Considering they have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
On Twelve Bridges' side, Gio Bordessa made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, Bordessa posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
In other batting news, Andrew Pocasangre was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Luke Nilsson, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Coming up, Nevada Union will square off against Pacifica Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tritons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Miners' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Twelve Bridges, they will be taking part in a tournament against Lincoln at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. The Rhinos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Zebras have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season.
