Aquinas walked away with a 43-33 victory over Serrano on Friday. Given Aquinas' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while Serrano is ranked 522nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Madeleine De Kodia continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with 6 assists and 6 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Aquinas' points. Perrine Allou was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 12 rebounds and 5 blocks.
Aquinas' win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Serrano, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Aquinas is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. As for Serrano, they will take on Twentynine Palms at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
