The Hesperia Christian Patriots will venture away from home to challenge the Western Christian Fighting Lancers at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hesperia Christian will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Hesperia Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Palmdale Academy Charter School on Thursday as they made off with a 30-10 win. Considering the Patriots have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Luke Beasley made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hesperia Christian is undefeated when Beasley allows one or fewer hits, but 9-10 otherwise. Beasley was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, eight RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-3. Those eight RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Sam Montoro was incredible, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ezra Hawthorne, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Hesperia Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .736. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Western Christian made easy work of The Webb Schools on Friday and carried off a 15-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Fighting Lancers in their matchups with the Gauls: they've now won eight in a row.
Western Christian also got a great performance from Jackson Thompson as he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on James Mack, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Will Stradley was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Hesperia Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.7 runs over those games. As for Western Christian, their record is now 9-11.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Hesperia Christian hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Western Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Hesperia Christian's way against Western Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Hesperia Christian made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
