Slippery Rock's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Madison Romanovich, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds, and Brielle Jordan who scored seven points along with seven rebounds. Romanovich scored a full 39.3% of Slippery Rock's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Slippery Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hickory, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Slippery Rock will square off against Knoch at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hickory will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wilmington at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
