After flying high against the St. James Tigers last Saturday, the Lebanon Yellowjackets came back down to earth. Lebanon fell 71-63 to the Zizzers on Tuesday. Lebanon has not had much luck with the Zizzers recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Lebanon lost, one person who can't be blamed is Caleb Ray. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Ray continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Wyatt Carr was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.
Lebanon's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for West Plains, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
Lebanon will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rolla is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for West Plains, they will challenge the Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kickapoo presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Zizzers in Missouri (the Chiefs are ranked fourth, while the Zizzers are ranked 262nd).
