Baseball Recap: Victor Valley Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Trona last Thursday, Victor Valley Christian came back down to earth. The Royals came up short against the Silver Valley Trojans on Monday, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Royals in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost six in a row.

Victor Valley Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaden Cardenas, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Cardenas has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

Victor Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Silver Valley, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Coming up, Victor Valley Christian will be playing at home against Palmdale Academy Charter School at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Royals are facing the Jaguars at the right time seeing as the Jaguars are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Silver Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Desert at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Scorpions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.91 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
