The Jamestown Muskies won the last time they faced the Commodore Perry Panthers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Jamestown enjoyed a cozy 51-35 win over Commodore Perry. The win made it back-to-back wins for Jamestown.
Jamestown's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alayna Cadman, who scored 21 points. The match was Cadman's third in a row with at least ten points. Ivy Riley was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Despite the loss, Commodore Perry still got an impressive performance from Skyleigh McCloskey, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. McCloskey set a new season high mark in blocks with two. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazlyn Boyles, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
Even though they lost, Commodore Perry were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Jamestown now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Commodore Perry, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jamestown will be home for the holidays to greet Reynolds at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Reynolds is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Commodore Perry, they will play host again and welcome West Middlesex, where tip off is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
