Nia Rogers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Redwood Christian, dropping a double-double on 38 points and 11 steals. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which Rogers has scored at least a third of Redwood Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Chisom Nwebube, who scored 13 points along with eight assists and seven steals.
Athenian bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.7 points per game. As for Redwood Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-6.
Athenian will head out on the road to challenge Head-Royce at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Redwood Christian, they will be playing at home against Bentley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Bentley comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
