Sherman Oaks CES and Port of Los Angeles are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Knights will face off against the Polar Bears at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sherman Oaks CES is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.
Sherman Oaks CES is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against King/Drew by a score of 11-7. 11 seems to be a good number for the Knights as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Nicholas Bilicic made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Garrett Arch looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Colin Hauser was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Matthew Perez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Port of Los Angeles posted their closest win since March 18th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Grant 6-5. The victory was nothing new for the Polar Bears as they're now sitting on four straight.
The team relied heavily on Joaquin Guerrero, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydan Lamadrid, who earned one RBI, two runs, and two stolen bases.
Sherman Oaks CES' record is now 15-3. As for Port of Los Angeles, their record now sits at 12-8.
Saturday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Sherman Oaks CES has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .521. However, it's not like Port of Los Angeles struggles in that department as they've averaged .446. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
