The West Wolfpack will head out on the road to challenge the Skyline Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
West took a 16-run defeat the last time they faced off against Millennium, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolfpack sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Falcons on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wolfpack have posted since April 22, 2025.

Tyler Armstrong was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. West is 2-1 when Armstrong allows three or fewer hits, but 0-5 otherwise. Armstrong was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryan Crotts, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2025. Preston Gardner was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Skyline sidestepped Dougherty Valley for a 2-1 victory.
The win made it two in a row for West and bumps their season record up to 2-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Skyline, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
Skyline's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: West has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .448. It's a different story for Skyline, though, as they've only averaged .288.
