Harding has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Warde Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Harding has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Friday, Harding was the victim of a rough 63-43 defeat at the hands of Bullard-Havens. Harding has not had much luck with Bullard-Havens recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, Warde had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against New Canaan and snuck past 35-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Warde has posted yet this season.
Harding bumped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their 15th straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.1 points per game. As for Warde, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Harding was taken down by Warde 55-25 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Harding avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
