The Holy Cross Knights will challenge the First Baptist Saints at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Holy Cross will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
Holy Cross is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 51-2 victory over John Paul II. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Centurions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Taylor Flores had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 113 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 113 rushing yards.
Holy Cross didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aiden Olivarez and Jayden Olivarez. Aiden got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, First Baptist got themselves on the board against Live Oak Classical on Friday, but Live Oak Classical never followed suit. They blew past the Falcons, posting a 45-0 victory. That looming 45-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Saints yet this season.
Holy Cross better keep an eye on Dylan Jones. He was instrumental in First Baptist's win, throwing for 230 yards and four TDs. What's more, Jones racked up nine rushing yards, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.
Holy Cross' record is now 5-2. As for First Baptist, their record now sits at an identical 5-2.
The upcoming game will be a clash of competing strengths. Holy Cross has deployed a run-first offense that has averaged 225.9 rushing yards a game. Meanwhile, First Baptist has preferred to attack from the air: they average 310.1 passing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
Holy Cross took their win against First Baptist in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 34-14 score. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Saints' Bradlee Mays, who picked up 101 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Knights to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
