The Northeastern Bobcats won the last time they faced the Susquehannock Warriors, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Northeastern took down Susquehannock 53-35. Given Northeastern's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Susquehannock is ranked 268th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northeastern to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mikayla Coleman, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Emma Bush, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Susquehannock's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Georgie Snyder, who scored 12 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elena Snyder, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Northeastern pushed their record up to 18-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Susquehannock, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeastern won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lower Dauphin at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. Northeastern is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.3 points per game this season. As for Susquehannock, they will be playing in front of their home fans against York Suburban at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. York Suburban will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Susquehannock surely won't give up without a fight.
