Uwharrie Charter Academy is a perfect 10-0 against North Moore since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Eagles will host the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Uwharrie Charter Academy 3.3, North Moore 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Uwharrie Charter Academy took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Southwestern Randolph, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles skirted past the Cougars 4-3.

Jake Hunter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Moore, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Jordan-Matthews on Friday as they made off with a 12-3 victory. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by nine runs or more this season.
Issac Parsons made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
In other batting news, Carter Brower was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Michael Swarms, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
North Moore was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Uwharrie Charter Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for North Moore, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Uwharrie Charter Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like North Moore struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Uwharrie Charter Academy's way against North Moore in their previous matchup back in June of 2023, as Uwharrie Charter Academy made off with an 8-1 win. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
