They took their contest on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 58-6 victory over Conestoga Christian. That looming 58-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Linville Hill yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Linville Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Desiree Smucker, who scored 13 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. The match was Smucker's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ellie Rishel, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and six steals.
Linville Hill pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Conestoga Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Linville Hill will be home for the holidays to greet Coventry Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coventry Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 474th, while Linville Hill is ranked 51st). Conestoga Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Dayspring Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
