The Math Civics & Sciences Mighty Elephants's road trip will continue as they head out to face High School of the Future at 3:15 p.m. on February 2nd.
Last Wednesday, things could have been worse for Math Civics & Sciences, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-44 loss to the Huskies.
Jabriyah Gibbs put forth a good effort for the losing side as she dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Saahiya Holloman, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, High School of the Future entered their tilt with the Pioneers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. High School of the Future simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Pioneers 49-20 at home. High School of the Future has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.
Jahanna Mitchell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points.
Math Civics & Sciences now has a losing record at 3-4. As for High School of the Future, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Math Civics & Sciences suffered a grim 50-24 defeat to the when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Math Civics & Sciences, Tyhirah Watkins (who scored 19 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
