It may have taken  overtime to finish the job, but the Palm Springs Indians ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Monday. They secured a  40-35 W over Banning. The  victory was just what Palm Springs needed coming off of a  49-26 loss in their prior  matchup.
 Palm Springs' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Miley Flores, who  scored 13 points along with five  steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which  Flores has scored at least 25% of Palm Springs' points. Another player making a difference was  Naomi Bote, who  scored ten points along with six  rebounds and four  steals.
 When it comes to explaining why Banning lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Maryanne Palacios. Despite the final result, she  scored 22 points. The  matchup was  Palacios' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aaliyah Stokes, who  scored eight points.
 Banning  struggled to work together and  finished the game with only two  assists. They  were crushed by their opponents in that department as Palm Springs  racked up ten  assists.
 Palm Springs' victory  ended a three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 5-7. As for Banning, they now  have a losing record at 3-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palm Springs will  face off against Rancho Mirage at 6:30  p.m.  on December 19th. Banning's road trip will continue as they head out to face Twentynine Palms at 4:00  p.m.  on December 13th.
