After flying high against the Delano Tigers on Thursday, the Wasco Tigers came back down to earth. Wasco took a hard 45-30 fall against South on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wasco in their matchups with South: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Wasco lost, one person who can't be blamed is Camila Almanza. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that Almanza scored 15 or more points.
Wasco's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for South, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Wasco is on the road again on Wednesday and play against McFarland at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. McFarland is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for South, they will square off against Quartz Hill at TBD on Saturday.
